Sete Cidades - Crate and Lakes

In the mountains of Sete Cidades there are more lakes than just the twin lakes which are the most famous view of the Azores. On this tour you will see lakes and Belvederes that are not as well known, and you will go to the village of Sete Cidades inside the crater.

Sete Cidades, where emerald green and sapphire blue are the dominant colors - is the source of the legend of sorrowful princesses, of lost kingdoms. Vista do Rei Belvedere, so-called because it is where King Carlos and Queen Amelia could appreciate Sete Cidades Lake when they visited Sao Miguel in 1901.

Lunch with drinks will be served in a typical Manor House and you will taste dishes based in old recipes that are in the possession of traditional families of the island. A visit to an Organic Farm and an Ethographic Center will take you back to a past that you thought would be only in your imagination.
